Editing the form in Designer 6 made it an ND6 form (regardless of the database ODS or the server the container database lives on). The fact that it no longer worked properly in an R5 environment simply proves that R5 is not forward-compatible. If a form created using R5 Designer failed to work in a Notes 6 client, you'd have a backwards-compatibility issue.
